On the night of November 22, 2014, multiple business burglaries occurred on Kaliste Saloom Road between the 700 and 2400 block. In all of the burglaries, force was used to make entry into the buildings. The suspect captured on surveillance video is believed to have participated in those crimes.

Suspects removed a 2002 Harley Davidson Soft Tail Heritage Motorcycle, green & black in color, bearing LA license plate MC372883. Several other items were also removed from the building but left behind on the property.

On August 25, 2014 at approximately noon, Lafayette Police were called to apartment 38A in the Village Du Lac complex at 1404 Carmel Drive. The resident at the location, 92 year old Mary Terrell, was found deceased on the floor. Mary Terrell was a longtime resident of the complex. It is believed that Terrell may have come in contact with the suspect during the 12 hours before she was discovered dead.

The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary which occurred on Lee Guidry Road in Gueydan, LA. On May 7, 2014 at approximately 7:45pm forced entry was made into a camp and a flat screen TV was taken. Entry was also made into a Conex storage container and a 2013 Camouflage Polaris Ranger 800 Crew UTV was stolen. The suspect vehicle is a black 1999 to 2004 Ford F250 or F350 4 door dually with dark tinted windows. The trailer appears to be a 6 ½ x 12 foot, black, single axle trailer with rear and side load gates.

During the early morning hours on April 23, 2014, three (3) vehicles were burglarized in the 100 block of Springwood Drive. Video surveillance captures the two suspects, who appear to be black males, arriving at a residence and shortly thereafter burglarizing vehicles. The vehicles were left unlocked and garage doors left up. Valuables were left in the vehicles, however only cash and a set of spare keys to one of the vehicles was taken.

On May 5, 2014, approximately 4 suspects between the ages of 19 and 35 pointed a pistol at a taxi driver. The suspects stole the victim’s credit card and a small amount of cash. The suspects were later captured using the stolen credit card and departing the business in a white truck.

On April 15, 2014 around 4:15 pm, fourteen (14) storage units were burglarized. The business is located in the 6200 block of Johnston Street. Several locks were cut and various items were taken. Surveillance cameras captured the pickup truck and trailer which were used during the burglaries. The truck appears to be an extended cab, step side Ford Ranger. The trailer has no license plate and appears to have a burnt left tail light. The driver is described as a white male and the passenger a white female.

Lafayette Crime Stoppers needs your help to catch the suspects who committed a vehicle burglary in rural Lafayette Parish.
In the early morning hours on March 24, 2014, the suspects arrived at a residence in the 200 block of Bentgrass. Video surveillance captured the suspect vehicle which appears to be an older model Ford or Chevrolet van with a spare tire carrier on back. Surveillance also captured a suspect as he enters the vehicle and rummages through the vehicle. Taken was a pair of Beats By Dre headphones, an Ed Hardy watch with green band, and a pair of black Carrera sunglasses with mirror lens.
