The Carencro Police Department is seeking any information that will help in identifying two suspects wanted for a theft that occurred at Walmart located at 3800 NE Evangeline Thruway in Carencro. Video surveillance captured the suspects arriving at the store in a grey colored vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry.

On September 15th, Sheriff Deputies responded to the 900 Block of Lake Martin Road in reference to a report of power outages and surges. Upon arrival deputies observed several power transformers in the area with multiple bullet holes. Several .223 rifle casings, which are consistent with being fired from an AR-15 style rifle, were located. Damages are estimated to be around $25,000 for equipment and repairs.

On July 28, 2018, two males entered a local gas station and forced their way behind the counter. The males proceeded to remove numerous cartons of cigarettes as the store clerk attempted to fight them off. Both suspects are described as black males, appear to be in their 20’s, and both were wearing a white t-shirt and baseball caps. They were seen fleeing the location in a red, four door sedan. We believe these suspects are responsible for a very similar crime that occurred recently at another local gas station, so we need your help Acadiana. On May 25, 2018, the Broussard Police Department responded to Pine’s Apartments, located at 219 Leon Street, in reference to a disturbance in progress involving weapons and multiple gunshots were heard. Responding officers found the victim, Leon Williams Jr, who succumbed to injuries from multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark colored pants and light colored shoes. The pictured vehicle was seen leaving prior to officer’s arrival. Witnesses state a silver 4 door car was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting. Evidence on scene indicates victim fought with his killer and that the suspect may have sustained injuries as a result of the altercations.

The University Police Department responded to a theft which occurred on July 4, 2018, at the Central Receiving Building located at 184 E. Lewis Street. At approximately 6:30p.m., video surveillance captured a Polaris Ranger XP High Lifter 900 pulling a black utility trailer arriving in the area of Johnston Street and East Lewis Street. Seven (7) minutes later, the UTV was seen leaving the area with two (2) University owned Gravely Pro-Turn 200 commercial lawn mowers (72" deck) loaded on the trailer along with traffic cones. A green four passenger John Deere XUV550 Gator was also stolen. The suspects are two white males and the driver has a distinctive hand/wrist brace on his left hand. The suspects may have ties to a lawn service.

On June 21, 2018 Lafayette Police responded to a burglary alarm at Capitol Cyclery, 4498 Johnston Street. Upon arrival officers observed forced entry and several bikes and designer sunglasses taken. The suspects arrived on a side by side ATV which was used to transport the stolen items. Video surveillance showed the ATV fled toward the Sycamore Drive and Birch Drive area prior to officers' arrival. Officers believe the side by side ATV was transported to the area by an extended cab Chevrolet pickup pulling a tandem axle cargo trailer.

During the early morning hours of June 17, 2018, video surveillance captured a suspect entering onto the property grounds of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Community Corrections Campus located at 100 Poydras St. The suspect is seen walking around the property, flipping the breakers on an outdoor breaker box, then eventually breaking a window to a classroom and making entry into one of the buildings. Once inside, a vending machine was pried open and cash was stolen. The suspect appears to be a male, above average height, skinny, and walks with a slight limp as he steps with his right leg.

On June 12, 2018 an aggravated burglary was reported within the City of Lafayette. During the incident two male suspects posed as City employees that were at the victim’s residence to test the quality of the water. On June 8, 2018, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple vehicle burglaries in the area of La Neuville Rd. Several vehicles were burglarized on Vivian and Kaiser Drive and on Cherry Bark and Huckleberry Lane. All of the vehicle burglaries occurred during daylight hours. The suspect was captured on video wearing a bandana and gloves to hide his identity. The suspect appears to be a white male, tall, and slim. The suspect was confronted by a resident and fled on foot, jumping over fences and was able to evade law enforcement.

On May 30, 2018, two females approached an elderly victim at the Goodwill store located at 3803 Ambassador Caffery Park Way. The females gained the victim's trust and convinced her to withdraw a large sum of money for an investment opportunity. The suspects accompanied the victim to the Walgreens store located at 2517 Kaliste Saloom Road, where they stated the managing investment banker was waiting to speak with her. The victim went inside the store but could not find the person she was told to speak with. When she exited, both females were gone with her money. The suspects were both wearing hats and the female wearing the sunglasses had several gold teeth.

On April 24, at approximately 5:32 a.m., video surveillance captured the suspect as he allegedly attempted to make entry into the victim's truck, which was locked.
The suspect then entered the victims shed where, police say, several power tools were stolen.
Sheriff's deputies later located the stolen tools behind a neighbor's air conditioning unit. Deputies believe the tools were positioned in a way, indicating the suspect planned on returning to retrieve them.
Police describe the suspect appearing in the video as a white male with a chin strap style of beard, wearing tan or orange-colored coveralls, black shoes, gloves and a black fireman-style shield hat.

THE SUSPECTS STOLE A BLACK 2017 FORD EXPLORER WHICH WAS LATER LOCATED NEAR A TRAILER PARK IN THE 100 BLOCK OF PORTER LANE IN LAFAYETTE. THESE SUSPECTS ARE WANTED BY THE LAFAYETTE PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE ON NUMEROUS CHARGES TO INCLUDE SIMPLE BURGLARY, ATTEMPTED SIMPLE BURGLARY, AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOVEABLE, AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM.
